How We Turned Fragmented Dealership Data Into Actionable Intelligence

Most dealerships today run on fragmented systems with limited visibility into what actually drives (or drains) their profits. We’re changing that. Building a tool that turns raw dealership data into strategic business intelligence.

For the first time, we’re giving dealership owners a single, unified command center that answers the most important questions in real time:

• Which operations are leaking efficiency or margin?

• What can I do today to improve profitability?

Building this product meant solving one of the industry’s biggest problems: every dealership has data, but none of it talks to each other. Here’s how we fixed that.

1. Bringing all the data into one place

Dealership data lives everywhere — Excel files, outdated OEM portals, third-party tools, DMS platforms, even manually maintained sheets.

We built integrations, MCP server connections, custom Python pipelines, and leveraged modern data-fetching tools to pull everything into one clean, centralized database.

2. Cleaning and structuring the raw data

Once everything was collected, data was reorganized. We cleaned, enriched, and standardized the data, closing missing gaps and mapping it to the first set of metrics. This gave us a clean base to calculate the first set of key metrics.

3. Layering intelligence with LLM-powered processing

The structured data was then pushed through LLMs to extract deeper insights:

– text processing

– identifying hidden issues

– generating weekly & monthly operational reports

– generating new restructuring documents

This turned raw text and logs into usable intelligence.

4. Building performance and profitability metrics

Another data pipeline computed all the financial and operational KPIs: revenue tracking, profit calculations, monthly target comparisons, staff performance analytics, and payment tracking.

This turned day-to-day operations into measurable numbers.

5. Iterating until everything aligned with the product vision

We refined the pipelines, validated calculations, and tuned the reporting logic until the insights and dashboards exactly matched the dealership’s expectations.

The vision is to sell this product across 20,000 car dealerships across India and then across the globe. 

This marks a big step toward modernizing the automotive dealership ecosystem and we’re just getting started!
